Counsel
Roxana is a Counsel in the Dispute Resolution practice area. Prior to joining SAA, Roxana worked for more than 7 years at Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii, as well as for 3 years at one of the leading Big 4 associated law desks in Romania.
She has more than 12 years’ experience in a wide range of litigation but her particular areas of expertise are in the commercial field including corporate litigation, shareholders’ litigation, intellectual and industrial property with a focus on trademarks and copyright, insurance and bankruptcy litigation, insolvency and restructuring litigation, contract disputes, foreign judgement recognition and enforcement proceedings, professional and product liability and last, but not least, labour disputes.
Additionally, Roxana boasts extensive experience in the field of special procedures, including annulment of promissory notes, interim measures, banking payment issues and procedures before the Financial Supervisory Authority in respect of regulation of Romanian insurance companies and court related disputes.
Roxana is also the head of our reputational practice, which stands out through several successful final court decisions for prominent individuals, from politicians to well-known businessmen, and large Romanian and foreign companies, in which Roxana and her team successfully managed to secure high value moral damages and the swift removal of defamatory and libellous materials from online publishers, social media and TV.
Her strong written communication skills coupled with her excellent language skills (she speaks no fewer than 4 languages being Romanian, English, Spanish and French) and her sharp analytical mind enable her to focus not only on the end result but on each and every step of the litigation process, ensuring the best defence is identified and implemented and keeping the clients’ business at the centre of her focus.
Roxana is also a frequent contributor with specialized articles on Commercial Law whilst lecturing on the same at Nicolae Titulescu University’s Faculty of Law, as well as being a lecturer at the National Institute for the Training and Improvement of Lawyers.
Roxana has been a member of Bucharest Bar and the Romanian Bar Association since 2011.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE:
- Successfully represented Compania Romprest Service S.A. in obtaining a landmark decision by the Bucharest Court of Appeal, with the annulment of the minutes and corresponding Decision for ascertaining the irregularities and establishing the budgetary receivables issued in 2018 based on AMPOSDRU financing agreement.
Successfully represented Hervis Sports & Fashion in obtaining an unprecedented decision by the Cluj Specialised Tribunal, with the grant of an injunction for the deferred payment of part of the rent relating to premises at the Vivo Shopping Center in Cluj which is owned by commercial real estate group Immofinanz. - Advised a large Romanian bank in litigations with the annulment of credit facility agreements concluded with legal entities.
- Advised a Romanian bank in corporate claims.
- Advised a major alcoholic beverage producer in shareholder litigations.
- Advised a major Romanian insurance company in advice for authorization and compliance in procedures before the National Supervision Authority and representation in litigations deriving from the decisions issued by the Authority.
- Advised an important regulatory authority on the capital markets in forced execution litigations for the non-performance of registrations’ obligations.
- Advised a large rail freight company in litigations with the national railway authority.
- Advised an important company active on the capitals’ market in forced execution litigations having as object shares.
- Advised a high – level construction company in an arbitral trial for delays in execution.
- Advised a significant Romanian construction company in litigations having as object claims due to delay in execution, hidden faults and civil liability.
- Advised an important Romanian company in litigations based on the enforcement of promissory notes.
