On 23 March 2021, the Romanian Competition Council announced the authorisation of the transaction by which König Frankstahl S.R.L. takes over the business line related to metallurgical products belonging to Frankstahl Romania S.A.
Following assessment of the effects of the economic concentration, the Romanian Competition Council concluded that the proposed procedure does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market (or on a substantial part of it) and that there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.
Founded in 2006, König Frankstahl is an important distributor of metal products and metal ores. The company supplies a wide range of products, such as rectangular pipes, round pipes with and without welding, precision pipes, hydraulic pipes, carbon steels, alloy steels, calibrated steels. At the same time, the company offers cutting services, hot and cold bending, pipes and profiles, stamping and delivery for its products, as well as specialized consulting for customers.
