Stratulat Albulescu Attorneys at Law has advised Amphenol, a leading global supplier of advanced technological solutions for the automotive industry, in particular for hybrid electric vehicles, in the acquisition process of the Romanian subsidiaries of GJM, a leading Spanish original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of key components for the automotive industry.
This significant US investment is of particular importance given its strong international component, the size, international recognition and presence of the target companies (which are now operating in over 22 countries and are continuously expanding their business) and also the EU Strategy (actively promoted in Romania through the NEXT-E project, co-financed by the European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility) of investing in the development of transport infrastructure projects that support competitive, clean and connected mobility in Europe.

GJM Group is a leading Spanish provider of interconnected assemblies for automotive applications. The company offers products like wire harness, articulated axis, over-molded connectors, mechatronics, lighting and hall sensors. While at the beginning, GJM started working for clients in the Telecom sector (such as Alcatel, Amper), later on, the company focused on working for clients in the IT sector (Fujitsu, Olivetti and IBM being their main clients). In 2004, GJM entered the Romanian market.
